Estimates only

Every result on ScapeCalc is an estimate. Products, bag sizes, densities and site conditions vary. Check quantities with your supplier or a professional before you buy or start work. You are responsible for your measurements and for the decisions you make with the results.

Using results for work

You may use the calculators for your own projects and for paid work, such as preparing a quote. The results are still estimates: confirm quantities with your supplier before you order for a client.

Safety

ScapeCalc does not give safety, structural, medical or legal advice. Where a calculator quotes safety guidance, such as playground surfacing depths from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, it quotes the source and links to it. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, and ask a qualified professional about structural work, local codes and anything that could cause injury.

No warranty

ScapeCalc is provided as is, without any warranty that it is accurate, complete, available or fit for a particular purpose. Formulas and sources are published on the methodology page so you can check them yourself.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, ScapeCalc is not liable for any loss, cost or damage from using the site or relying on its results, including buying too much or too little material.

Acceptable use

• Don't attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or copy it wholesale.
• Linking to any page is welcome.

Content

The text, diagrams, design and code of ScapeCalc belong to ScapeCalc. Quoted sources belong to their publishers and are linked where they are used.
